This image represents a sample approximately 600mm wide. The appearance of the veneer laminate on your screen, on a sample and on that used in a project may differ from each other. This is because wood veneer is a natural product and may vary in appearance from log to log, within a log and from leaf to leaf/across a sheet. This product may have natural features such as pin knots, gum, figure, slanted or curved direction of grain, different leaf widths, off-centred crowns etc. It may have manufacturing features such as join lines, brush marks, knife-rub-marks, slight indentations and some variation in the appearance of how stains/washes/tints are taken up by different leaves or logs. These are not defects but due to the intrinsic properties of natural wood veneer, its processing and coating/finishing.

About this Product: Made in France from real wood veneer bonded under ultra-high pressure to a laminate backing, with the veneer being impregnated and surfaced with a very hard cured melamine resin. Coloured stains and patterns are pre-applied to some Oberflex to create tints not achievable in ordinary veneer. Oberflex retains the appearance of real timber veneer, whilst also having very high wear, scratch, stain, impact and moisture resistance. Ideal for interior vertical and horizontal applications where high wear, scratch and stain-resistance is required such as restaurant table tops, reception counter tops and fronts, vanity doors and kitchen doors. Supplied finished (at thicknesses from 1mm to 1.2mm), Oberflex® has reduced fabrication time. The appearance of this veneer laminate may vary because wood is a natural product. It may have natural features such as pin knots and figure, and some variation in the appearance of how stains are taken up by different leaves or logs.

Applications: Especially suited where ultra-high wear and stain resistance is required, whilst maintaining the presence of high quality real natural wood veneer, such as shop-fitting applications, office work stations, dry horizontal applications such as ceiling panels, counter-tops, desk- and table-tops. It should not be used for floors, stair treads, kitchen counter-tops, high humidity/wet/steamy/damp conditions, exterior applications, areas exposed to temperatures above 60 degrees C or areas around stoves and fireplaces. Note that the appearance of veneer may change over time due to direct and indirect light, and exposure to heat. Some sheets of veneer laminate may age differently to others. Keep out of direct sunlight. Note that wire-brushed laminates may be hard to clean. As it is not possible to cover all associated manufacturing materials, conditions, products and methods, the end-user is responsible for carrying out the necessary tests and trials to check that this product, fabrication methods, associated materials and cleaning products/methods are suitable.
